Emotional scenes for the ‘forgotten generation’ in Parliament with excellently worded apologies from Rudd and Turnbull. An up-lifting style – good acknowledgement with some healing, but minimalist after the day. Turning to recognise the hurt and to put the best foot forward, but ruling out compensation. Andrew Murray’s striving came to pass and congrats to Minister Jenny Macklin.
