CLIMATE ACTION CANBERRA
WORLD ENVIRONMENT FESTIVAL and
EMERGENCY CLIMATE CHANGE RALLY ONE PLANET, LAST CHANCE
Countdown to Copenhagen
1pm, SATURDAY, 13 JUNE, Garema Place, Civic, ACT.
We are facing a climate emergency.

The time has come for you to take action to ensure a safe climate for you and your family.
We urgently need strong action and leadership from the Australian Government to invest in renewable energy, renew our economy, and help ensure a safe climate future for all.
Instead, Prime Minister Rudd has announced a climate plan that will lock in weak emission reduction targets and hand out billions of dollars to polluters.
The world’s best chance to avoid dangerous climate change lies in a new global climate change agreement that will be forged in Copenhagen in December this year.
This climate deal won’t secure a safe climate.
The outcome of this climate deal depends on the actions taken by people like you, and every Australian family.
We need to convince our leader, Kevin Rudd to support, not hinder, strong global action.
We need you to join with thousands of Australians in Canberra and other cities to stand up for urgent action and climate leadership.
Join Climate Action Canberra, Greenpeace, Friends Of the Earth, The Wilderness Society, Unions ACT, Uniting Care, ACT Conservation Council and many other organizations, 1pm, Saturday 13 June in Garema Place, Civic, as we make Australian history.
Great speakers, music, and stalls. Wear red.

What you can do to make the 13 June a successful event:
1. Go through your e-mail and telephone address book and contact everybody you know concerned about climate change and urge them to attend and to spread the word,
2. Publicise the event at your local community organisations
3. Help leaflet key suburbs of Canberra, and various shopping centres.
